women's ministry at Vineyard

We had a meeting to discuss Women's Ministries here in the Vineyard. Some "new" faces were there and some "older" faces were unable to be there. We are trying to listen to each other and to the Lord about what we feel He is speaking for future Women's Ministry and what it looks like. We came up with several key points and wanted to share them with you.

Key points:

  • God is not doing the same old same old.
  • God is stirring up some things, but we are not able to see the whole thing, at this point.
  • God wants us to be involved in ministry, and we are, many great things are going on.
  • We are not aware of many ministry opportunities that are taking place in the Body. For instance, how is the Food Bank coming along? How are the ongoing mentoring relationships going? Who all is going on mission trips this summer? etc.
  • Graham has challenged us to develop ministry from the ground up. What does this look like for the Women's Ministry? Who is passionate about it in our midst?
  • We need to get together in a larger setting and pray together to find these things out and to build relationships.
  • We are committing to meeting once a month (more maybe?) to pray and build relationships intergenerationally. Our next meeting will be June 11th, after church, location to be determined. Bring a bag lunch and we will start with a meal together and then pray. We are asking other women to join us, pray and see what God is doing. This is an invitation to you and any others you can invite to join us. Feel free to send this to any woman in our body that you feel has a heart for Women's Ministry and you feel she may want to know about this.

Thanks for prayerfully considering this,
Jackie Hart
