More on Vineyard Leadership Institute (VLI)
www.vli.org
Vineyard Leadership Institute (VLI) is a two year Biblical studies program designed to integrate hands-on training, ministry experience, spiritual formation, and academic understanding with an uncompromising commitment to excellence in biblical-theological, ministerial and spiritual-formational training. You can participate in this program from right here at Vineyard of Gainesville.
The instructors are experienced pastors: recognized theologians who are committed to Vineyard-style ministry and who are experts in the fields that they teach.
- Vineyard Leadership Institute is a two-year, part-time academic program.
- We offer courses in biblical studies and theology.
- Our staff is made up of professors qualified and experienced to teach at university and graduate levels.
- VLI courses include interpreting scripture, church planting, leadership, preaching and teaching, power ministry, counseling, spirituality and many others.
- We offer a distinctive, cutting-edge, and empowering curriculum that allows students pragmatic training in church leadership as well as challenging studies into spirituality and theology.
Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples...teaching them to obey all that I have commanded." (Matt. 28:19,20). Studies in missions, evangelism and theology show that the best way to evangelize is to plant churches. The Association of Vineyard Churches envisions planting 10,000 churches in this generation. Multitudes of church planters, pastors, teachers and Christian leaders are needed to meet this goal.
VLI's purpose is to train leaders who will:
- Plant new churches and/or lead ministries in order to evangelize non-Christians and to disciple them.
- Demonstrate godly character, obedience and spiritual depth in their homes, churches, workplaces and communities.
- Be kingdom people who grasp the biblical message of the Kingdom of God and who seek to communicate and demonstrate it through words and works.

www.vineyardbi.org
Vineyard Bible Institute launched as an internet (email) based, distance education program in early 2000. It had previously developed and grown as a mail-based audio tape program situated in Anaheim . The vision, formulated by Bob Fulton (International Coordinator, Association of Vineyard Churches), is to provide training for lay leaders utilizing the best teaching materials available in the Vineyard movement. With the new program VBI offers
- A significantly enlarged team of lecturers from across the world
- An enlarged and growing curriculum.
- New format course materials that are full-text and provide everything the student needs to complete the subject.
- Internet accessibility, with instant download of course material following registration and payment.
- The opportunity for local churches and ministry schools to teach the whole VBI curriculum themselves, obtaining the full VBI academic accreditation.
- Access to material for both Vineyard and other churches.
- Reduced registration costs due to lower overheads and production costs.
- The oversight of a representative international VBI board.
- Email contact with other students and lecturers.
Vineyard Bible Institute exists as a service to the church. Biblical Studies and ministry training materials, which express the theology of the kingdom of God and the values of the Vineyard, are available through the medium of distance education.
Goals
- We want to serve the international Vineyard family and the wider body of Christ.
- We want to provide a distance education curriculum that serves the requirements of this family.
- We want VBI to reflect the international Vineyard family in its values, curriculum and lecturers and therefore have it based in all of the primary nations or areas.
- We want to provide materials for lay people who want to get to know the Bible in depth.
- We want to provide a way forward for lay people seeking to further their theological education.
- We want to have VBI accessible to the members of all local Vineyard churches.
- We want to make it as affordable as possible.
- We want to empower the local church as a training base.
