Frequently Asked Questions:

• How do I find Vineyard?

Vineyard is located in Gainesville, Fl. on NW 8th Ave., and NW 34th Street. Click (here) for a Google map. If you are traveling in from another city we would suggest using this Google map to search for hotels in the area.

• Will there be childcare?

Sorry, we will not be providing childcare for this workshop. And, while you might consider bringing your children along please keep in mind that this is a ‘workshop’ meaning that there may be “lab” times of practical application of some of the principles being taught. These “lab” times may be difficult for those having to watch their children and participate.

• What is the plan for lunch on Saturday?

Lunch will be on your own. We will have maps available at the workshop to many nearby restaurants with varying levels of affordability. From typical fast-food such as “What-a-Burger” and “Checkers” to “Mildred’s Big City Food” and “New Deal Cafe” a pair of wonderful gourmet restaurants, and many more. All restaurants are within a 5-minute drive and are generally not too crowded on Saturdays.

• Can I brown-bag my lunch?

The Vineyard campus has many picnic tables outside and we can provide an area in-doors as well if you would like to brown-bag your lunch.

• Will there be an offering collected?

No. This event is not about promoting Vineyard church or raising money. This is about enriching your understanding of the spiritual gifts of Healing. Your registration fee of $15 covers minimal building expenses and the travel expenses for our featured speaker, Norma Dearing.

• I really want to come but money is extremely tight, will you have scholarships available to allow me to attend?

Limited scholarships will be available. Please email us at healinginfo@vineyardgainesville.org to tell us about your situation and be sure to include detailed contact information, i.e., Name, address, phone numbers, etc..

• Will there be other training sessions for the Healing Room at Vineyard?

Oh yes! We are committed to providing frequent training and guidance to our teams serving in our Healing Room. If you might be interested in serving on our team, please let us know at healinginfo@vineyardgainesville.org.

We turn it over to God and he does the rest. I have been blessed with a new way of looking at life. We concentrate on the things we can do verses what we cant.

I’ve regained the use of my left side and now walk without a cane - and I can drive again.

Maybe soon I can work again.

Come and join us in the Healing Room Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. to welcome Lynn Kitt, prophetic worship dancer/intercessor and Dr. Joyce Shelton, Christian counselor and intercessor.  Lynn will give her testimony of overcoming an abusive marriage and divorce and will present a dance on that topic.

Thank you members for alerting me when you can’t make your assigned time; you have really been good about calling me.  And it has always worked out.  God is in control; He matches the number of people coming in for prayer with the number of team members available.

Do try and come to praise and worship/intercession at 6 p.m.  We need to come into God’s presence to honor Him, drop off our cares of the day, and hear His voice for the work to be done that night.  He knits us together at that time too.

Other items:

1. Intercessory prayer for the Healing Room starts this Wednesday 11:30 a.m. - 1p.m.  in the Gallery.  Bring your brown bag lunch and kids if you want.  If you want a different time, let me know. We hope this time will enable those who work to drop in for awhile and convenient for Moms and the rest of us.
2. “Power Healing” by John Wimber. I’m ordering copies (Used $4.00; New $10.00 plus tax) please let me know if you are interested is buying copies.
3. Sign up for March.  The dates are March 6, 13, 20, 27.  (Easter is March 23).
4. Have any of you thought about joining me and Cliff on a Friday nights to pray for the homeless at the Friday night supper, 6 p.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal church downtown?
5. Who has ideas on how to better publicize the Healing Room?  We also need to design a small pamphlet.  Anyone talented on computer graphics?

Wendy had an over 3-inch cyst on top of her ovary. After consultations and tests she was scheduled for surgery last week and as planned was getting prepped for the knife. Just as they were getting ready to place the IV the doctor had his wife call him in sick. With the night open, they attended a healing group from their church that night where she received …prayer. They rescheduled the surgery and she had to undergo tests again to see how the baseball sized growth had progressed.

They found NOTHING…not a smaller cyst…not a dissolved cyst… NOTHING. They had the original doctor who diagnosed the cyst. He ran tests and found NOTHING.

Yeah, God.

We are now meeting in the Children’s Church room, which is next to the chapel; it will have a sign on the door.  It is the same building as the Sanctuary and is to the left of the Sanctuary (as you face the Sanctuary).  Park on the east side of the church, along the Littlewood School fence.

At this time, we are having 2 teams of 3 team members each night.  We start intercession, praise and worship, and praying a cleansing prayer of repentance for outselves at 6 p.m. The Healing Room opens at 7 p.m. and continues to 9 p.m.  Intercession continues if no one shows up for prayer or, if only one person shows up, the first team ministers, and the second team continues to intercede.

When a person comes for ministry, he/she will be asked to fill out a form which is given to the team who go to the Chapel and prays for the person for about 15 minutes, asking the Holy Spirit for guidance, wisdom, knowledge.  The person remains in the Children’s Church Room and receives healing scriptures to build up his/her faith.  When appropriate, invite the person back for “soaking prayer.”

Prior to going to the seminar my back had been out of alignment for about one and a half weeks. The day before the healing seminar I went to a chiropractor who said that I was in bad shape. Normally, when this happens, I have to have many appointments. He treated me but I still had pain. I also had an appointment for the following Monday. I kept the appointment and witnessed to the Dr. He treated me and said that he did not need to see me again because I was fine. Everything was aligned. He said that the Lord has healed me. Praise the Lord!
