Announcement:
The Vineyard's Maintenance and Building Committee invites members of the Vineyard members to come and help prepare our church for our upcoming summer and Storm Season.
Activities:
- Clean our Roof,
- Clean and Repair drains & gutters, &
- Remove tree debris that could damage people or our church during storms.
Date & Time:
Saturday, July 9, 2005 from 8am to 12pm
Food & Refreshments
- Vineyard Men will be pre-paring breakfast for those that show up between 7:30 to 8am in the Community room. (
Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Biscuits, fruit, milk and OJ)
- Water, Gatorade and Tea will be provided throughout the project. (Hub)
- For those who make it to 12pm we will have fresh water melon at the Hub
Needed:
- Men to volunteer for cooking breakfast.
- Wheel barrels (heavy duty), leaf rakes, rubber gloves, 12 foot ladders,
- Sun Screen, Insect Repellant & hat if you will work on the roof.
- Invite someone who needs a ride. We need your help too. Come for an hour or two. If you can stay until noon we ensure you will get cold, fresh watermelon. If twenty to 30 people show up this will be a productive day and we will be as prepared as we can for the storm season. If you can not show up, feel free to let us know and we will get you assign to your own project (e.g., cleaning a gutter or some other maintenance or yard activity, etc.).
Warning:
- It will be hot, and you need to wear sun screen
- Heavy equipment, chain saws, cutting equipment and other tools will be used. Child care and supervision will not be provided.
