No one can hear a new sermon every Sunday and respond in a life-changing way each time. Graham tells us that when we’re walking in the Spirit, wisdom is more important than knowledge. We have plenty of preaching, but we’ve produced an audience instead of an army — people who have an “unconscious contempt” for the Word of God. But these are things that are changing. There is a “violent shaking” going on in the Body of Christ right now, he said, and it will be interesting to see what we get shaken out of, as well as what we get shaken into. Graham challenges us to seriously consider how and why we do church.
